What Happened to Minivator Stairlifts?

The Minivator and Freelift businesses were brought together under the Handicare Stairlifts name. This is why older Minivator models are often associated with later Handicare products and documentation.

Do not assume that every obsolete Minivator model is currently supported by Handicare. Repair and parts availability should be checked for the exact model.

Can a Minivator Stairlift Still Be Repaired?

Some independent stairlift specialists continue to work on older Minivator equipment. Whether repair is practical depends on the model, the fault and the availability of compatible components.

The curved Minivator 2000 and straight Minivator 950 family are particularly important to identify correctly before parts or repair work is arranged.
